She laughingly credited kindergarten as her source for many of these great ideas, referencing the famous book, **[All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten](https://www.goodreads.com/work/quotes/2399046)**. You, too, can access your inner kindergartener to pick exactly the right custom apparel and accessories for your school. Dress uniforms, sports uniforms and practice gear, and spirit wear are as essential as school books and, these days, a reliable internet connection. Here’s our twist on using what you learned back then to make smart apparel decisions now:   ## 9 Things you learned in Kindergarten that will help you pick apparel for your school (and generally live your life better!) ### 1. Play fair Custom decorated school apparel is all about fairness, [ensuring inclusion](https://www.squadlocker.com/squad-blog/how-school-uniforms-drive-sense-of-community-even-online) in every sense of the word. Every kid feels equally part of the group because everyone is wearing the same thing. Make sure the uniforms and team wear you choose will fit all sizes and shapes and budgets. And make sure you stock your store with plenty of spirit wear options that are both fun and functional.   ### 2. Share everything What should the decoration you use on school apparel look like? Share the excitement by getting your school community involved with design challenges. Build even more engagement by bringing together club leaders, players, etc. as co-managers to add apparel and [logos](https://www.squadlocker.com/squad-blog/taking-your-logo-from-poor-to-score) for their specific school teams or groups.   ### 3. No hitting It’s only OK if you’re making a football tackle. But in these days of contactless sports, [flag football is the hot alternative](https://www.squadlocker.com/squad-blog/why-flag-football-is-all-the-rage). At SquadLocker, we have the gear your teams need - including uniforms for flag football.   ### 4. Wash your hands before you eat 🧼 Now, the advice is wash your hands often, for 20 seconds, and use hand sanitizer. Which reminds us that masks are an apparel essential that should be [part of your school’s uniforms](https://www.squadlocker.com/squad-blog/why-face-masks-should-part-of-school-uniforms).   ### 5. Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you OK, so this has nothing to do with choosing the right apparel, but it’s still something to keep in mind.   ### 6. Live a balanced life We all know the old adage about all work and no play. That goes for school work, too, whether you’re the kid in class or the parent helping from the sidelines. That’s why [Returning to Play](https://hubs.ly/H0r09v-0) is on everyone’s minds, from organized team sports to individual exercise routines. SquadLocker has the [PE clothes your school needs](https://www.squadlocker.com/squad-blog/pe-clothes-for-online-group-sessions), even if the class itself is virtual.   ### 7. Take a nap every afternoon 😴 A nap is refreshing. You can recharge. And sweet dreams come to those who wrap themselves in a fleecy blanket custom-decorated with your school’s logo.   ### 8. Hold hands and stick together. No hand-holding or hugs these days, but we’re sticking together in spite of the pandemic. And we’re showing our school spirit by wearing branded apparel at home and around town. Athleisure wear is the new business attire, you know. ### 9. Be aware of wonder Decorated school apparel [reinforces our sense of belonging](https://www.squadlocker.com/squad-blog/showing-your-spirit-builds-sense-of-belonging), whether we’re in kindergarten or the great-grandparents of a kindergartener, a teacher, coach, administrator or a supportive neighbor. And nothing is more wonderful that knowing you’re part of such an important community.
