IMG_0747-1.jpgAlyson is part of the mass-hiring process SquadLocker has experienced since our 800% growth during the fall of 2016. She's been with the Squad since March 2017, as the Purchasing Assistant. She is part of a two-woman show in the purchasing department. A native of Southeastern Massachusetts and University of Rhode Island alum, Alyson brings a fresh perspective on life and a humor larger than life.

What three traits define you?

ALYSON: Driven, Outgoing, and Loud.

Why did you join SquadLocker?

ALYSON: To gain more experience in buying for a sports apparel company. Working in retail for multiple years, I wanted to be involved in the behind the scenes action of purchasing for retailing.

What is your proudest moment at SquadLocker?

ALYSON: As a startup, especially one dealing solely via eCommerce, having the most impressive office space is a lesser priority. However, we haven't let that stop us. I'm a part of a committee geared toward beautifying the office through means of painting, decoration, re-positioning and restructuring.

Now for the fun part. Who is your favorite sports team?

ALYSON: New England Patriots. Shocking, I know.

What is your greatest fear?

ALYSON: I have a lot! Drowning, being shot, dying young - basically anything that involves dying.

Where is the best place you’ve traveled to and why?

ALYSON: Italy. It's a toss up between Rome and Sorrento. I had an amazing experience throughout my trip, experiencing a nation full of culture. Our tour guide was extremely educational, which made the trip way more amazing. We even hiked an active volcano, Mt. Vesuvius. Also, who else can say they hiked an active volcano then swam in the Mediterranean Sea?

Any favorite line from a movie?

ALYSON: "That'll do donkey, that'll do." (Shrek)

If you could be anyone from any time period, fictional or not, who would it be and why?
ALYSON: Audrey Hepburn. Just look at her. She's the definition of class.

What is a realistic ability you wish you had?

ALYSON: To play an instrument or go back to school for my master's degree.

What TV show/movie are you ashamed to admit you love?

ALYSON: Wicked Tuna.

If you could only drink one beer for the rest of your life, what would it be?

ALYSON: Not really a beer, but definitely White Claw Raspberry Seltzer.

If you were an animal what would you be?
ALYSON: Elephant.

Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us.

ALYSON: In high school, I was the student manager for the boy's basketball and baseball teams.

Lastly, what’s one thing you couldn’t live without?

ALYSON: A sense of humor.

Loud and proud in the crowd, Alyson radiates humor and energy every day at the Squad, making her an integral part of the office atmosphere. You can reach out to Alyson at asheehan@squadlocker.com and follow her on Instagram @allysheehan.
