When you place an order and pay using a credit card, an authorization is obtained from your bank. This is the equivalent of your bookie asking if ‘you’re good for it?’. The funds are not actually transferred until your item(s) is shipped. Capiche?
Credit Card Verification Code:
A credit card verification code is a prominently displayed ‘secret’ code (sshh…) stamped into the back of Visa/MasterCard/Discover cards (3 digits) and the front of American Express cards (4 digits – had to different, didn’t you Amex) We need this number to prove that you are the owner of the card and not some credit fraud thief. We don’t take too kindly to credit thieves and neither should you.
